Le cyclo sport est particulièrement à la mode dans les années 60 et Yamaha va proposer une belle réplique aux modèles italiens avec le 50 FS-1, successeur du YF1 né en 1964. Cadre poutre, fourche télescopique, réservoir allongé, selle monoplace et dosseret de selle, guidon bracelet, système Autolube… la FS-1 a de quoi séduire les jeunes générations. Ce modèle utilise un monocylindre deux-temps refroidi par air, dispose d’une admission par le bas carter et se targue d’une puissance de 6 ch à 9 000 tr/min. Sur le papier, le chiffre n’impressionne mais au regard du poids très contenu de l’engin, les clients peuvent, lorsque les conditions le permettent, voir l’aiguille du compteur flirter avec les 95 km/h.
